Mission Statement PDF Print E-mail

Civilization is in need of revitalization and re-creation. People create their culture in the daily lives from the associations with symbols and systems of doing and believing. Rather than remain passive consumers of the artificial, degraded, materialist culture that is imposed on us, we must become active participants in creating our own cultures by consciously defining our values and identities on our own terms and working to develop a more meaningful way of life in our communities. To serve that mission, we need to development organizations that allow people to socialize and build positive relationships, create meaningful cultural activities and serve our communities.
We will direct the comprehensive political, social and cultural life of the community, from the local neighborhood, throughout cities, and form coalitions that work together at the regional, nation and global levels. We will promote cultural excellence by organizing activities that bring communities together on a regular basis to enhance the quality of life and forge closer social bonds. Culture includes the activities of living; arts and entertainment are only a small part of it. The goal is to create cultural spaces that are maintained permanently for others to experience, not as static reenactments of the past, but as dynamic interpretations of life in the present that transcends time and connects to all times and relevant cultures within a larger civilization moving into the future.  These complex systems of beliefs, traditions and customs need to be maintained and enhanced through appropriate leadership.

How To

In the beginning, small groups of people organizing themselves into a micro-model of the larger culture can use what property and resources they have, after all, any home may serve as the seat of a social leader and it can be adapted to any culture. We can cheaply make our own cultural objects and make do with homemade things. All it takes is a few people committed to the vision of cultural creativity who have the imagination to take what they have and use it to express that vision.

Producing a living adventure chronicle PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 18 September 2008 18:15

Join others in creating exciting cultural experiences resembling cinematic epics.

We will create cultural experiences by organizing people into performing social and cultural roles for the purpose of developing activities into meaningful presentations and ways of living. The real world should be more like the movies; it should be a living chronicle that is like a theatrical production that creates meaningful life activities. Think about what life is like in certain movies, then imagineer that reality into existence in the real world. By incorporating multimedia, virtual reality and augmented reality into real world experiences, the creative possibilities are unlimited. In the near future, virtually anything that can be created in the movies can be simulated in real life. We will create experiences that are artistic and follow cooperative and competitive scenarios toward directed goals. The variety of culture we want to develop includes not only the performing arts, we will perform cultural activities that create a meaningful way of life and give people a connection to an ongoing community of participants. Some people may temporarily participate in the activities, while for others, a particular culture will be their way of life. To develop culture to a greater and more satisfying degree we need to develop closer communities where people actually do things together. Creative cultural experiences organize people into live action roles that create historical, ethnic and national cultures in meaningful life adventures. We can take inspiration from movies, video games, books and mythology to use the real world as a live action stage onto which we craft a complete design of a way of life as it should be.

Experience Economy PDF Print E-mail

We will build a company that creates real world experiences that are like theatrical productions, with exciting characters, special effects, music, artistry, challenging adventures and meaningful storylines. To earn money, the presentations may be filmed for television or Webvision. Some people will pay to participate or view the activities live. We can sell merchandise at the events and get sponsors. There is a new experience economy coming, where people no longer simply buy products, they buy experiences, and the greatest demand will be in meaningful cultural experiences. In that economy, the competition is in creating a meaningful larger culture that connects virtually all of the products sold within that context. In this world, people are creators of their own culture, and businesses help them to be more creative in developing their preferred cultural environment.
